This is one of my new journals in my shop.
It is made from a collection of old children's books that were published in 1928. They are well-loved books...you can tell by how worn the edges are. I like to think of all the bedtime stories that were told using these books over the past 83 years. (yes, i had to use a calculator for that one...math...not my thing.) But imagine a book that has been around for 83 years, telling stories. Some people might say I should not have taken the book apart, but honestly, the pages were falling out and the binding had disintegrated. It was on it's way to the trash (along with several others) when my brother-in-law rescued it for me. I like to think that I am giving the book a new life, a new purpose. I hope someone takes this new book and creates or writes all their dreams and thoughts in it...and maybe it will last another 80+ years to tell someone else's story.
