Today I am grateful for warm veggie soup on a cloudy, damp day.

I love cooking soup. There is something so satisfying about putting a few ingredients in a pot and simmering the flavors together until they become a wonderful melody of warmth for your tummy. Soup is very comforting to me. Maybe I'll put together a soup recipe book. :)

ReplyDeleteNow that I'm eating vegetarian, I think soups are going to be a mainstay this winter. How soon can you come up with that soup recipe book?
ReplyDeleteSoup...I don't love making it...but I LOVE eating it! Of course I do, on occasion, make soup...but it always seems to take the whole entire day and I'm completely exhausted afterwards. But I guess then the reward is the amazing soup. :) I could have used some of that today though - it's definitely winter here. :(
ReplyDeletei loooove soups! & i'm w/lori in being a vege + the mainstay thing! yum! xo
ReplyDeleteI love making soups too. I have been wanting to make this African peanut stew for a while now. It might be my Thanksgiving meal. You take a pound of peanuts and grind them to a paste and them simmer them with stuff and then add other stuff. The smell of the peanuts simmering is heaven. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Kate - if you love making it, I will love EATING it!! (Sadly I'm the same way about Thanksgiving dinner. I'm ever so grateful to the lovely ladies who love to put it together and then enjoy having a crowd over. Happy to accomodate!! Anyway, that soup is gorgeous - a true work of art!!!
